The Pagan Summer Gathering 2008

Khaire and Blessings~

I have recently returned from the Pagan Summer Gathering (PSG) 2008 and what a weekend it was! It was held at the beautiful Ewan Maddock Dam retreat in Landsborough from the 18th-20th of January, ‘08. I am a member and Seeker of the Church of All Worlds and as such was an active contributor to this year’s PSG.

There was a smorgasboard of workshops this year and I actively enjoyed each and every one immensely. The workshops included What is a Fluffy-Bunny (by Angela Coco, a Pagan Academic), Sex Magick & Pagan Ethics (by She D’Montford, editor of the ‘Spellcraft Magazine’), Brighid Fire Ritual & the Great Work (by author and CAW-member Rob), the Masculine and Feminine Mysteries (by Faern and Alan from the Earthwyrm Coven), the “coming-together” workshop (by Simon and NikWitch, CAW-members and elders of the Pagan community), Shapeshifting (by Awen, a dedicant of the Coven of the WildWood) and I conducted three workshops (”Pagan Possession - Drawing Down the Gods”, “The Pagan Priesthood - What it means to be a Pagan Priest/ess” and a children’s ritual).

The Summer Rite itself was phenomenal - the power we raised and released will certainly manifest the unity, wholeness and balance we worked for. Four Elemental tribes journeyed through the realm of the Gods as they encountered the Sun God, Gaia, the Green Man and the Faerie Queen on their way to the Circle. My coven and I played a very integral part in the ritual as I facilitated the rite and the Coven of the WildWood aided in the creation of the equal-armed cross and the charging of it.

Many new and beautiful friends were made and old frienships were strengthened. Truly the Church of All Worlds is a family and a tribe.

 Blessed Be~
